Wooden Camera Pass Through Top Plate (Red DSMC2)
Wooden Camera Pass Through Top Plate (Red DSMC2) | A distinct wooden look for your rig
When a Red DSMC2 setup calls for a top plate with a more individual look, this wooden pass-through model is a focused option. Its name tells you the essentials: a camera top plate, a pass-through design, wooden construction and a red finish, marked for DSMC2. Renz lists it as a tripod accessory, so it belongs in the accessory side of a camera-support setup rather than being mistaken for a camera body or a tripod itself. It suits owners building around the Red DSMC2 who want this particular combination of form, material and colour. The red wood gives the part a visible identity on a rig, while the pass-through wording is part of its design designation. Choose it for that specific top-plate format and appearance; its appeal is its clearly defined character, not a long list of assumed functions.
Specialist Note
The mismatch this removes is simple: a standard-looking component can feel out of place when you want a more individual Red DSMC2 setup. I’d consider this when the wooden construction and red finish are part of the look you’re building; wood gives the top plate a different visual feel, while red makes its colour an intentional part of the rig. Use it as the distinctive top-plate element in a DSMC2 build, or choose it as a tripod accessory when you want that material and colour in your setup. It suits owners who value those details as much as the part’s role. One honest caveat: the red wooden look is deliberately specific, so it won’t suit every rig.
