Wooden Camera Red Komodo Timecode In/Out Cable 12
Wooden Camera Red Komodo Timecode In/Out Cable 12 | A short timecode link
Wooden Camera Red Komodo Timecode In/Out Cable 12 is a 12-inch cable for timecode in/out connections on a RED Komodo. It’s intended for camera operators and crew who need a short cable in a timecode setup built around this camera. Its value is in that focused job: linking the Komodo’s timecode connection as part of a compact rig, rather than adding a longer cable that can leave excess slack around the camera. The 12-inch length suits close, tidy routing when the timecode source or connected equipment is positioned nearby. That can help keep a small camera build manageable during setup and operation. The name identifies the camera system and timecode purpose clearly, so this is a specialist accessory rather than a general-purpose cable. If your setup needs a longer run between the camera and the connected timecode equipment, this short length may not suit the layout.
Specialist Note
At call time, a RED Komodo rig is taking shape and the timecode connections need to stay close to the camera. That’s where this 12-inch cable makes sense: its short reach helps keep nearby cabling under control instead of leaving a loop to manage. It’s made for the Komodo’s timecode in/out role, so I’d consider it for a compact build where the connected timecode equipment sits close by. One practical limit is the same thing that makes it neat: 12 inches won’t cover a distant setup. For that, plan the cable run around the position of your timecode equipment.
