Wooden Camera SmallHD 1/4-20 To 3/8-16 ARRI Acc Mnt Adapter
Wooden Camera SmallHD 1/4-20 To 3/8-16 ARRI Accessory Mount Adapter | Bridge two mounting interfaces
When a SmallHD setup has a 1/4-20 mounting point and your rig calls for a 3/8-16 ARRI accessory mount, this is the small part that bridges the difference. The Wooden Camera adapter is made for that specific change of interface, so you can bring those two mounting formats together without looking for a different mounting solution. It suits camera operators and rig builders putting together a SmallHD-based setup around an ARRI accessory mount. Its job is deliberately narrow: it adapts between the 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 ARRI accessory mount connection described in its name. That makes it most useful when the rest of your rig is already arranged around that mount and you want to include a SmallHD component with a 1/4-20 point. It’s a practical piece to keep in mind when planning a rig with mixed mounting interfaces.
Specialist Note
This adapter bridges a SmallHD 1/4-20 connection to a 3/8-16 ARRI accessory mount, avoiding the need to redesign a rig just to accommodate that mismatch. I’d use it when a SmallHD component needs to join a setup built around the ARRI accessory mount: place the adapter between the two matching interfaces, then build from there. The 1/4-20 side gives you the connection named for the SmallHD setup; the 3/8-16 side lets you work with the specified ARRI accessory mount. It suits operators who already know those are the two points they need to connect. One limitation: this is an interface adapter, not a monitor arm or a general-purpose mounting system.
