Yongnuo Speedlite YN968EX RT Flash Canon | Flash support for events and portraits

At an indoor event, the light can drop just as people gather for a portrait. The Yongnuo Speedlite YN968EX RT is a speedlight flash for Canon, suited to photographers who want flash support for those moments, as well as for fill light in harsh sun. It’s particularly at home with event photography and indoor portraits, where adding flash can help when available light alone isn’t giving the subject enough presence. Outdoors, it can serve as fill light when bright sunlight creates strong shadows. This is a straightforward choice to consider if those are regular parts of your photography. The information available identifies its type and intended uses, rather than detailing specific controls or operating settings, so I’d choose it for those clear jobs rather than assume particular features. Its appeal is practical: one flash for indoor people photography and outdoor fill-light situations.

Specialist Note

For indoor portraits, the YN968EX RT gives you a flash option instead of relying entirely on room light. As a speedlight, it’s intended for event and portrait work, so it makes sense if you want one flash for both a gathering indoors and a posed photo. The Canon designation matters when you’re choosing equipment for a Canon setup. I’d also consider it for fill light in harsh sun: use flash to add light to the subject when the daylight is creating strong shadows. One honest point: a flash adds light, but it won’t change the character of the background or the surrounding light. The model number is YN968EX RT; there are no supplied exposure settings to recommend, so I wouldn’t guess at a shutter speed or aperture.
