The Urth 75 x 100mm Soft graduated ND16 (4 stop) filter (Plus+) provides a crucial advantage for landscape photographers. This filter can block up to four f-stops of light intensity on one side of the image, slowly dissipating to zero on the other side. This graduated reduction allows for a beautifully balanced exposure, creating a harmonious blend of light, particularly when the foreground is darker than the background.
The proprietary Plus+ series features a nano-coating technology with 20 layers, ensuring a more consistent transmission curve for accurate light reduction. Not to mention, it offers enhanced protection against water, oil, and scratches, making it easier to clean as well. The renowned German B270 SCHOTT optical glass used for this filter also comes with a 20-layer nano-coating, leading to superior light transmission and easier maintenance.
The blockage of 4 f-stops on one side of the filter provides improved exposure in graded light conditions, such as photographing sunsets or in forests. These square filters, 2mm in thickness, easily fit into most square filter holders.
