The 7Artisans Infinte 16mm T2.5 FullFrame DE-Clicked EF Mount is an ultra-wide 16mm prime with a maximum T2.5 aperture, built for filmmakers and video creators using Canon EF. Its 107° angle of view takes in a broad scene, making it well suited to interior establishing shots, architecture and close, immersive compositions. Manual focus gives you direct control over what stays sharp, while the de-clicked design is intended for aperture changes without click steps during a take. This is a focused tool for video and filmmaking rather than an all-purpose lens: its very wide view can make nearby subjects feel especially prominent. On a full-frame camera, that breadth is the point; for a tighter view, a different focal length may suit the shot better. If your work calls for a wide frame and deliberate focus and exposure adjustments, this lens has a clear role.

Specialist Note

Filmmakers who frame compact rooms, street scenes or broad establishing shots will get the most from this 16mm. I’d use the 107° view to include more of a location without moving far back, then keep important faces away from the extreme edges, where a wide perspective can make them look stretched. The T2.5 maximum aperture is helpful when you need to keep filming in dim interiors; open it fully when light is limited. Its manual focus asks you to set focus with intention, which suits a controlled shot. On a Canon APS-C (EF-S) body, the view is roughly 26mm equivalent, so it feels less expansive than on full frame.
