8Sinn 15mm Baseplate V2 + Riser Plate Basic + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate
8Sinn 15mm Baseplate V2 + Riser Plate Basic + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate | A focused camera-support setup
The 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate V2 + Riser Plate Basic + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate brings a 15mm baseplate together with a riser plate and an ARRI dovetail plate in a specialist tripod accessory. It’s aimed at camera operators and rig builders who are putting together a support setup around these components, rather than looking for a tripod on its own. The combination is most relevant when your build calls for a baseplate, a riser and an ARRI dovetail element within the same support plan. That gives you a clearly named starting point for arranging a camera rig around a tripod workflow. The title identifies the parts, but doesn’t name a camera system, so I’d treat this as a component choice for a setup you’re already planning, not as a universal-fit solution. If you’re sourcing parts for a specific rig, the key is matching the complete support arrangement to your intended build.
A component-led approach
This is a specialist accessory for a defined part of a camera-support build. The 15mm baseplate, Basic riser plate and ARRI dovetail plate are the named elements to consider when planning how your rig is arranged. It’s a more focused purchase than a general tripod accessory: its appeal is the combination called out in the product name, rather than a broad set of features or a claim of compatibility with every setup.
Specialist Note
The setup stays focused around the support parts named here, which makes this easier to think through as a rig component than as a general-purpose tripod extra. I’d start with the 15mm baseplate: that designation matters when you’re planning a build around a 15mm support format. The riser plate is the part to consider when your arrangement calls for a raised position, while the ARRI dovetail wording points to the interface element in the combination. It suits operators putting together a tripod-based camera rig with those pieces in mind. One practical limit: it’s an accessory, not a standalone tripod, so plan it as part of a wider support setup.
