ACT 1 Meter USB 2.0 Connection Cable A Male - B Male Zip Bag

ACT 1 Meter USB 2.0 Connection Cable A Male - B Male Zip Bag | A simple USB-A to USB-B link

Your desk connection is easier to sort when the cable has the right plug at each end. This ACT cable links equipment with a USB-A socket to equipment with a USB-B socket, making it a practical option when you need a direct wired connection between devices with those matching ports. It suits home and office setups where a short, straightforward connection is all that’s needed, such as linking a computer to a printer or another USB-B peripheral. Its USB 2.0 connection is intended for compatible USB 2.0 equipment, so it’s a sensible fit for everyday peripheral connections rather than a cable to buy for an unverified port. The one-metre length keeps the run manageable on a desk. The zip bag also gives you a place to keep the cable together when it’s not in use.

At the desk

Before connecting, look at the sockets on both devices and match each end to its corresponding port. USB-A and USB-B are different connector shapes, so the cable has a defined orientation rather than two interchangeable ends. A tidy route along the desk can help keep the cable out of the way; avoid pulling it tight or placing it where it could be caught. If your setup calls for a longer run, this one-metre cable may not reach comfortably, so measure the path between the devices first.
