ACT 100m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable

ACT 100m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable | HDMI over a 100-metre run

For a distant HDMI connection, a short lead simply won’t reach; this ACT cable is 100 metres long. It’s an active optical cable identified for High Speed 4K HDMI, making it suited to setups where the connected equipment needs to be placed far apart and a cable has to span the distance. That could mean routing between rooms or across a larger installation, provided your equipment uses HDMI. The useful point here is the combination named in the product: a 100m length and an active optical design, rather than a conventional short HDMI lead. It gives you room to plan a long route without joining together a chain of short cables. One practical consideration: at this length, it’s worth planning the route before you start laying the cable. The title gives the key details plainly; it doesn’t give a data rate or more specific performance figures, so I’d keep expectations to the stated High Speed 4K description.

For a long HDMI route

This is a cable for a job where distance is the main concern. At 100 metres, it can span a substantial route between HDMI-connected equipment, while its active optical description distinguishes it from a basic short lead. That makes it relevant for a fixed installation or a setup where the source and display can’t sit close together. Think through where the cable needs to run and where each end will land before you fit it; a long cable is easier to place neatly when the route is decided in advance. The product name also identifies it as High Speed 4K, which is the level of HDMI capability stated for this cable. If you’re looking for a long HDMI connection and those details match your setup, this is a straightforward option to consider.
