ACT 20m DisplayPort Hybrid Fiber/Copper Cable DP Male

ACT 20m DisplayPort Hybrid Fiber/Copper Cable DP Male | A longer DisplayPort run

When DisplayPort equipment needs to sit well apart, a short cable can leave you rearranging the room or adding an awkward workaround. This ACT cable gives you a 20m connection, with a hybrid fiber and copper construction and a DP male connector. It’s intended for a straightforward job: linking DisplayPort equipment across a longer distance. That makes it relevant for a workstation, presentation setup or other arrangement where the connected devices can’t be placed side by side. The useful point is the combination of a named connection type and a clear length, so you can judge whether the cable suits the route you have in mind. It’s a cable, not a converter or an adapter, so the connection you’re planning needs to be DisplayPort at the cable end.

Planning a 20m cable run

I’d measure the actual path between the two pieces of equipment, rather than relying on the straight-line distance between them. A cable often has to follow a wall, desk edge or existing route, and those extra turns can add up. Think about where the connected devices will sit and where the cable needs to travel; that gives you a more realistic sense of whether 20m is the length you need. It’s a simple check, but it can save a frustrating layout change later. If you’re comparing cables, keep the connector type in view too: this one is described as DP male, so that detail matters when matching it to your planned connection.
