ACT 40m DisplayPort Hybrid Fiber/Copper Cable DP Male

ACT 40m DisplayPort Hybrid Fiber/Copper Cable DP Male | Connect across a 40m run

Long cable runs can make it difficult to place a screen where you need it. This ACT DisplayPort cable is 40 metres long, giving you room to route a connection across a larger space. It combines fiber and copper in a hybrid cable and has a male DisplayPort connector. That makes it worth considering when the distance is the main challenge and the equipment uses DisplayPort. The useful point here is the stated reach: you can plan a route of up to 40 metres without needing to position the connected devices close together. It’s a specific cable for a specific job, rather than a short desk connection. Before you settle on a route, measure the path the cable will actually take, including any turns or detours. A straight-line estimate can come up short.

For installation, start by identifying the DisplayPort connection you need to reach and making sure the male plug suits that port. Then think through where the cable will run: along a wall, between work areas or around existing equipment. A longer cable can give you more freedom with placement, but it still needs a clear, practical route. The hybrid fiber/copper construction is part of this cable’s design; the title doesn’t give a basis for promising a particular resolution or refresh rate, so those shouldn’t be assumed. My practical advice is simple: measure first, then check the connector at the point where the cable will plug in. If your setup calls for a 40-metre DisplayPort connection, this ACT cable gives you the length and connector type stated in its name.
