ACT 7.5m HDMI High Speed Low Loss Cable HDMI-A Male-Male

ACT 7.5m HDMI High Speed Low Loss Cable HDMI-A Male-Male | A longer HDMI-A connection

ACT 7.5m HDMI High Speed Low Loss Cable HDMI-A Male-Male is a 7.5-metre HDMI cable, built for connecting equipment with an HDMI-A socket at each end. That length gives you more room to position connected devices than a short lead, which can help when they aren’t right beside each other. It’s a straightforward option for a home setup, a workspace or another installation where an HDMI-A connection needs to span some distance. The product name describes it as a High Speed Low Loss cable. Those are the terms ACT uses for this cable; there’s no need to read more into them than the name provides. The useful detail for planning is the combination of its stated length and HDMI-A male connectors on both ends. You’ll want a clear route between the two connection points, with enough slack for the way the cable needs to run. At 7.5 metres, it’s a longer cable, so measuring that route first is a sensible step.

Plan the cable run

Think about where the cable will start and finish, then follow the route it needs to take rather than measuring only the straight-line distance between the devices. Corners, furniture and the positions of the connection points can all affect how much cable the route uses. The 7.5-metre length gives you room to place the ends apart, but it’s still worth planning where the cable will go so it doesn’t end up stretched or awkwardly routed. Both ends are HDMI-A male. That’s the connection detail to match at the two points where you’ll plug it in. The name also identifies the cable as High Speed and Low Loss; it doesn’t give a specific data rate or supported video format, so this description doesn’t assign one. If you know you need a particular cable length and HDMI-A male connectors at both ends, this ACT cable gives you those details up front.
