ACT DVI-I Dual Link Cable Male-Male 2.00m

ACT DVI-I Dual Link Cable Male-Male 2.00m | A direct connection for DVI-I equipment

A straightforward wired connection between DVI-I equipment is what this ACT cable is for. It has male DVI-I connectors at both ends, so it joins two matching sockets without needing a different connector type in between. The Dual Link designation is part of its connection type; the title doesn’t give a data rate or other performance figure, so I wouldn’t use one to compare it with another cable. At 2.00 metres, it gives you a defined cable length to work into a desk or equipment layout. That’s useful when replacing a cable or setting up a display connection and you already know the ports you need to join. The main thing to get right is the connection at each end: both pieces of equipment need a matching DVI-I socket.

Before you choose

Think about where the two connected devices will sit, then consider the path the cable needs to follow. A straight run between nearby devices is simple to plan; routing around a desk or along the back of a setup takes a little more care. The stated length is 2.00 metres, so use that as your reference when judging the route rather than measuring only the gap between the devices. Leave enough room for the cable to reach its sockets without pulling it tight. The connectors are male at both ends, which suits a connection between two female sockets. If your equipment has a different socket type, this cable won’t provide a change of connector. Matching the DVI-I connection at both ends is the key detail here.
