ACT Hook & Loop Cable Tie Strong 16mm

ACT Hook & Loop Cable Tie Strong 16mm | Keep cable runs gathered

ACT Hook & Loop Cable Tie Strong 16mm is a 16mm hook-and-loop cable tie for keeping cable runs gathered. It’s aimed at photographers, video crews and anyone handling several leads around a camera setup, whether that’s at a desk, in a studio or while packing gear for a shoot. The “Strong” designation identifies this version; the useful point is its straightforward job of bringing loose cables together so they’re easier to manage as a group. That can help when arranging a working setup or putting leads away between sessions. There’s no complicated accessory system to learn. For me, the appeal is the simple fastening format and the clearly stated 16mm size. If you’re looking for an ACT tie to organise camera-related cabling, this is the specific version to consider.

Think about where your cables need to go before gathering them. Leads that travel along the same route can be brought into one bundle, while keeping separate routes apart makes it easier to trace a connection when you need to change a setup. It’s a small habit, but it can save some untangling at pack-down. In a camera bag, group only the cables you’re comfortable storing together, and avoid bending a cable sharply as you gather it. At a desk or shooting position, keep the bundle close to its route rather than pulling it across a walkway. This is a simple cable-management accessory, so its usefulness comes down to choosing sensible groups and placing them where they’re easy to reach. I’d start with one clear cable run, then decide if another group needs its own tie.
