ACT USB-C 3.2 GEN2 Active Optical Cable (AOC) For Touch Panels Data Power 7.5m

ACT USB-C 3.2 GEN2 Active Optical Cable (AOC) For Touch Panels Data Power 7.5m | A long touch-panel connection

When a touch panel needs a cable run of 7.5 metres, a short USB-C lead won't reach. This ACT cable is an active optical cable (AOC) for touch panels, carrying data and power over a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 connection. It's suited to installations where the panel and its connection point aren't close together, and where one cable is intended to handle both data and power. The length is the useful detail here: it gives you a defined 7.5-metre run to plan around, rather than leaving you to join shorter leads. Choose it for that specific touch-panel role, not simply because it has USB-C connectors. The title gives the connection type and intended use; those are the details to match against your installation. A cable is a small part of a setup, but choosing the right length up front can save awkward routing later.

Planning the cable run

Before laying out the installation, work out the route the cable needs to follow between the touch panel and its connection point. The stated 7.5 metres gives you a clear length to compare with that route. Allow for where the cable will actually run, rather than measuring only the straight-line distance between the two ends; a routed cable may need more length. That’s straightforward planning, not a claim about extra reach or performance. The product is specifically described for touch panels and for data and power, so keep those requirements in view when selecting it. If your setup calls for that use and the stated length, this ACT AOC is the relevant option to consider. Its more specialised description is also a helpful reminder: this isn't presented as a general-purpose cable for every USB-C device.
