Asus VT229H 22inch Multi-Touch Monitor
Asus VT229H 22inch Multi-Touch Monitor | Tap your way through everyday screen tasks
Asus VT229H 22inch Multi-Touch Monitor is a 22-inch display with multi-touch input, built for photographers and other desk users who want to interact with on-screen controls directly. It’s suited to a studio desk, a shared work area or a counter where people browse images and make selections. The appeal here is the combination of a monitor and touch input: instead of relying solely on a mouse, you can use touch where the software on the computer supports it. That can make simple tasks such as opening menus, choosing thumbnails or moving through a selection feel more direct. For photographers, it’s most useful as a practical screen for organising and presenting images, rather than as a display chosen on the basis of colour accuracy or resolution specifications. Those details matter for image-critical editing, so I’d make that distinction before deciding how you’ll use it. If touch interaction is part of your everyday workflow, the VT229H offers a clear, straightforward reason to consider it.
Specialist Note
Photographers who sort event or family images at a desk may appreciate having touch input right on the screen. The 22-inch size gives you room to browse a selection without making the display the centrepiece of the workspace, while multi-touch lets you tap on-screen controls directly when your software supports them. I’d use it for quick image selection or for letting a client choose from a contact sheet at the studio counter: open the gallery, then let them tap the images they want to discuss. My honest advice is to treat it as a handy interactive monitor, not to assume touch alone makes it the right screen for final colour decisions. For that, use a display setup you already trust.
