B&W Case Type 3000 w/ Bw.bag TEX.117.RPD (Photo Bag); Black
B&W Case Type 3000 w/ Bw.bag TEX.117.RPD (Photo Bag); Black | Protection for gear on the move
A bumpy drive, a dusty work area or a spell of rain can make a soft bag feel like the wrong place for valuable camera gear. The black B&W Case Type 3000 is a hard case for transport and storage when equipment needs protection from knocks, dust or rain. It’s suited to photographers who move gear between locations, keep equipment stored between shoots, or simply want a sturdier outer case for travel. The product title also includes the Bw.bag TEX.117.RPD, so this listing pairs the case with that named photo bag. The case’s main appeal is its protective role: it gives you a more robust way to carry or store gear than an unprotected setup. It’s a practical option when the journey or storage spot is the concern, rather than a bag chosen for quick access while shooting.
Think of it as protection for the parts of photography that happen before and after the shutter: getting your kit to the location and keeping it stored between uses. It’s especially relevant when equipment may meet rough handling or less-than-clean conditions. The supplier’s guidance covers knocks, dust and rain, but that isn’t a specific waterproof rating, so don’t treat the case as a promise of submersion protection. Choose it for a more protected transport and storage setup, not as a substitute for checking how much kit your particular setup requires.
Specialist Note
The solid, black hard-case form gives this set a reassuringly protective role: it’s there for the journey, not for rummaging around during a shoot. I’d point it toward photographers who regularly move equipment through dusty spaces or want a sturdier place to store it between outings. The Type 3000 is a hard case, which makes it the sensible part of the setup when knocks are a concern; the included Bw.bag TEX.117.RPD gives the listing a named photo-bag component alongside it. Use the case for transport or storage, and keep the bag pairing together as supplied. One limitation to keep in mind: there’s no stated waterproof rating, so I wouldn’t rely on it for immersion or prolonged exposure to heavy rain.
