B+W Filter Skylight KR-1.5 MRC - F-PRO - 72mm
B+W Filter Skylight KR-1.5 MRC - F-PRO - 72mm | UV filtration for a matching lens
On a bright day outdoors, you may want a filter specifically for UV filtration rather than one chosen for a creative effect. This B+W skylight filter is listed as a UV filter, making it relevant to photographers who want that particular type of filtration for outdoor scenes. Its name identifies the KR-1.5 MRC version in the F-PRO range. The key practical detail when choosing it is the filter size: 72mm. That makes it a match for a lens designed to accept filters of that size, not a universal fit for every lens. If you already know your lens takes a 72mm filter, the product name gives you the main details needed to identify this version. It’s a focused option for someone who knows they want a B+W skylight UV filter.
Specialist Note
Filter sizing can be a nuisance when you’re trying to find the right one; the 72mm designation gives you a clear place to start. Match it to a lens that takes 72mm filters, and you’ve narrowed the choice to the right size. I’d consider this for daylight landscapes or city scenes when UV filtration is specifically what you want. The KR-1.5 MRC and F-PRO names also help distinguish this exact version when you’re comparing product listings. It’s a specialised filter, so choose it for its UV-filter role rather than expecting a different kind of photographic effect.
