B&W Outdoor.cases Type 6000 Yellow/ Divider
B&W Outdoor.cases Type 6000 Yellow/ Divider | Hard-case protection for gear on the move
When camera gear has to travel through rough handling or wait in a dusty storage area, a soft bag may not be the protection you want. The B&W Outdoor.cases Type 6000 is a hard case for transporting and storing equipment in situations where knocks, dust or rain are a concern. It suits photographers and other camera users who need a more protective place for their gear between shoots, at home or while travelling to a job. This is the yellow version with a Divider designation, giving you a case option that’s easy to identify and intended to keep contents divided. The supplier describes this type of case as suited to protecting gear in demanding transport and storage conditions; that’s the practical reason to choose it. It’s a straightforward option when safeguarding equipment matters more than carrying it in a soft, lightweight bag.
Why this version
The Type 6000 name identifies the case, while “Divider” distinguishes this version from one without that designation. That makes it worth considering if you want the case contents kept apart rather than all together. Its yellow colour also gives you a clear visual cue when cases are stored alongside other equipment. Think of it as a protective home for gear between uses, rather than a bag you’ll want to carry around all day.
Specialist Note
For gear that needs more protection in transit than a soft bag provides, the Type 6000 gives you a hard-case option. I’d consider it for moving camera equipment between storage and a shoot, or for keeping gear together when dust and knocks are part of the situation. The yellow colour makes the case easier to pick out among stored equipment, which is handy when you’re collecting gear in a hurry. The Divider version is the one to look at if you want contents kept apart inside the case. One honest consideration: this is geared towards protective transport and storage, not lightweight everyday carrying.
