B&W Type 6600 Black / Empty
B&W Type 6600 Black / Empty | Hard-case protection for demanding storage
When camera gear needs to be moved or stored somewhere it may face knocks, dust or rain, a hard case is a more appropriate option than leaving it exposed in a soft bag. The B&W Type 6600 is an empty hard case for photographers and other gear owners who want a protective outer case and prefer to decide what goes inside. It’s intended for transport and storage where the equipment needs protection from everyday knocks and environmental exposure. That makes it suited to moving gear between locations, or keeping it stored when dust or rain is a concern. This version is black and empty: you’re buying the case itself, not a pre-filled set of equipment. Consider it when the priority is a hard outer case and you already know what you want to carry or store in it.
Specialist Note
The Type 6600 makes more sense than a soft bag when your gear needs a hard case around it during transport or storage. Its hard-case format is the key practical difference: it’s intended for situations where knocks, dust or rain are a concern, rather than just carrying gear from room to room. This is the empty version, so you choose what belongs inside and how you want to arrange your load; it isn’t a ready-packed kit. I’d consider it for moving camera equipment or keeping it stored somewhere that may get dusty. The honest trade-off is that you’ll need to plan the contents yourself.
