BenQ EW3290U 31.5 16:9 3840x2160 1000:1 5ms
BenQ EW3290U | Spacious 4K detail for your desk
For viewing photographs, documents and widescreen video on a generous desktop canvas, the BenQ EW3290U combines a 31.5-inch screen with 3840 × 2160 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The 4K resolution gives images and text fine detail, while the wide format suits video and leaves room to arrange work across the screen. It’s a practical fit for home or office desks where you want a large view for image browsing, photo work or everyday multitasking. You can keep a photograph open at a useful size while leaving space for editing tools or a reference window, rather than repeatedly switching between smaller views. The EW3290U’s appeal is its combination of screen area and pixel detail; it’s best suited to people who value that broad, clear workspace for viewing and general computer use.
Specialist Note
The EW3290U lets you review high-resolution photographs on a broad screen instead of relying on a small, zoomed-in view. Its 31.5-inch size gives an image and your editing tools room to share the screen; the 3840 × 2160 resolution helps you inspect fine detail while doing so. For video, the 16:9 format matches the familiar widescreen shape. The stated 5 ms response time is a useful figure to consider for moving content, but I’d choose this monitor for its spacious 4K workspace rather than on response time alone. If you’re doing critical photo grading, treat the 1000:1 contrast figure as one point to compare, not a promise of reference-grade results.
