BORG 7779 Upright Prism EP-3
BORG 7779 Upright Prism EP-3 | An upright prism for a more natural view
BORG 7779 Upright Prism EP-3 is an upright prism, named for the viewing orientation it provides. It’s for observers who want to see a subject upright through an optical setup, rather than deal with an inverted view. That makes the product relevant when natural orientation is important for finding and following what you’re observing. The title identifies it as the EP-3 model in BORG’s 7779 range; it doesn’t identify a particular instrument or viewing configuration. So the useful starting point is your intended setup and whether an upright prism is the kind of optical accessory you need. Renz lists this product in Lenses > Standard, while its product name identifies it as a prism. If you’re comparing products, use the full BORG 7779 Upright Prism EP-3 name to keep the exact item clear.
Specialist Note
For observers who want a naturally oriented view while locating distant subjects, the BORG 7779 Upright Prism EP-3 is a clearly named option to consider. “Upright Prism” tells you the key purpose: it’s intended for viewing with an upright orientation, which can make it easier to relate what you see to the scene around you. The EP-3 designation matters too; use that exact model name when matching the prism to your intended optical setup, rather than relying on the BORG name alone. One practical limit is that the title doesn’t identify a specific instrument it pairs with, so I’d want to establish that match before recommending it for a particular setup.
