Boya BY-M100D Omni Directional Mic For Lightning Devices | Clearer speech on Lightning devices

Boya BY-M100D is an omnidirectional microphone for Lightning devices, made for people who record spoken audio on a compatible device. Its all-around pickup suits conversations where voices come from more than one direction, rather than a single speaker always facing the microphone. Use it for interview clips, spoken updates or voice notes when you want to capture the people talking around it. It gives you a dedicated microphone option for recording with a Lightning device, without requiring a larger audio setup. The main thing to consider is the room: an omnidirectional mic can pick up surrounding sounds as well as voices, so a quieter spot helps. For a solo recording, speak close to the microphone and keep the room around you calm. That simple setup makes sense for casual content and everyday recording.

Specialist Note

At a kitchen table in the afternoon, two people sit down to record an informal interview. This is where the BY-M100D’s omnidirectional pickup is handy: arrange the speakers around the microphone instead of having everyone aim their voice in one direction. For a solo voice note, stay close as you speak so your voice is the focus. Its Lightning-device connection makes it a specific fit for a recording setup built around that connector. My honest advice is to choose a quiet room; because it hears around it, nearby conversation or other room noise can become part of the recording too. It suits simple spoken recordings more than noisy settings.
