Canon CLI-581XL Black

Canon CLI-581XL Black: Keep photo printing supplied with black ink

Photo prints retain their colour for longer with Canon’s ChromaLife100 system, and this black CLI-581XL cartridge contains 8.3 ml of ink. It’s an XL-capacity cartridge for Canon printers that use the CLI-581 range, suited to home photo printing as well as everyday prints. Use it with Canon photo paper for colour photographs; Canon says the ChromaLife100 system protects prints from fading. The black cartridge is part of the ink setup for producing those photos, and it also supplies black ink for other print jobs. Its larger capacity compared with a standard cartridge means fewer cartridge changes as you print. That’s useful when you’re working through a batch of family pictures or topping up ink before regular home printing. Replacing the cartridge is straightforward, and the listed compatibility covers several Canon PIXMA TS and TR models. Check the exact printer model in the specifications below before adding it to your order.

Why it is useful

• XL capacity: This cartridge holds 8.3 ml and has a larger capacity than the standard version. You’ll get more printing from a cartridge before it needs replacing, which is useful for a steady run of prints.
• ChromaLife100 system: Canon’s system protects printed photos against fading. Pair the ink with Canon photo paper for photo printing with longer-lasting colour.
• Black ink for photo and home printing: The cartridge is identified as black, while the supplied product information also names high-quality colour photo printing as a use. It’s a replacement to consider when your compatible printer needs this ink.
• Broad listed compatibility: The supported models include the PIXMA TS6150, TS6151, TS8150, TS8151, TS8152, TS9150 and TS9155, plus the TR7550 and TR8550. That covers several printer models in the TS and TR ranges.
• Easy cartridge replacement: The CLI-581XL is described as easy to replace. That makes a depleted cartridge a simple consumable to swap when your printer needs fresh black ink.
• Made for the CLI-581 range: This is the XL black cartridge in Canon’s CLI-581 ink series. Its model number helps distinguish it from other cartridge types when you’re selecting a replacement.
