DJI Osmo Mobile 8p - Advancedtracking Combo | Smoother video on the move

Walking footage can turn shaky just when you want to capture a moment clearly. The DJI Osmo Mobile 8p is a gimbal stabiliser designed to make moving video smoother, including walking shots, vlogs and travel clips. It suits people filming action, sports or trips who want steadier footage as they move, rather than a camera setup aimed at still photography. Use it for a walking sequence, a piece to camera while travelling, or video that follows the pace of an activity. The product is described as the Advancedtracking Combo, but the reliable information here confirms its role as a gimbal stabiliser and the kinds of filming it suits; it doesn’t establish additional tracking functions. Its strengths are specific: smoothing video on the move and supporting vlogging. If your main need is still photography, this isn’t the right type of product.

Specialist Note

“Is the DJI Osmo Mobile 8p meant for filming while walking?” Yes—that’s one of its clearest uses. I’d consider it for a travel vlog or a sports clip where you want smoother footage as you move, rather than a stationary setup. As a gimbal stabiliser, it’s made for that moving-video role; the supplier also names action, sports and travel as suitable uses. For a vlog, plan a short walking passage and speak to camera as you go; for travel, use it to capture a moving view along your route. The name includes “8p”, but I wouldn’t read that as a filming setting. It’s a focused tool for video on the move, not a substitute for a stills camera.
