Specialist Note
For a locked-off dialogue setup, I’d open to T2.1 when you want to separate a face from its background or need more light through the lens. At 75mm, the view is on the tighter side, which can work well for dialogue close-ups and details across a set; take enough camera distance to frame comfortably, then rehearse your focus pull. On a Canon APS-C (EF-S) body, that focal length gives framing equivalent to 120mm on full frame. The honest limitation is that 75mm can feel restrictive in a small room. I’d choose this for a filmmaker who can plan the blocking and wants 2X anamorphic framing under controlled conditions.
