easyCover Lens Oak RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM True Timber Kanati Camouflage
easyCover Lens Oak RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM True Timber Kanati Camouflage | Camouflage cover for your RF zoom lens
Rather than a general-purpose rain cover, this easyCover Lens Oak is named for the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens. It suits wildlife and nature photographers who want a cover made for that particular zoom lens, especially when they’re working outdoors in changeable weather. The True Timber Kanati camouflage gives the lens a patterned, woodland look, while the rain-cover design is intended to help keep rain off the lens. That makes it a practical accessory for photographing birds, wildlife or outdoor events when you’d rather keep your lens covered than pack up at the first shower. It’s also a straightforward way to give this distinctive, long-range lens a camouflage finish. This is a lens-specific cover, so its appeal is greatest if you use the named RF zoom; it isn’t a general cover for an assortment of lenses.
Specialist Note
People buying a lens cover for the first time often assume one loose cover will suit any lens; this one is named for the RF 100-500mm, so it’s a more specific match for that zoom. I’d consider it for wildlife photography in light rain, or when you want the True Timber Kanati pattern on your setup in a wooded setting. The 100-500mm range lets you frame a distant subject more tightly without changing lenses. At the long end, the lens’s maximum aperture is f/7.1, so in dull light you may need to raise ISO to keep your shutter speed up for moving birds. The camouflage is a visual choice, not a substitute for sensible care in heavy weather.
