Eminent Grey 5 Meter U/UTP CaT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors

Eminent Grey 5 Meter U/UTP CaT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors | A practical five-metre network connection

Its useful distinction is right there in the name: this is a grey, five-metre Cat6 patch cable with U/UTP construction and RJ45 connectors. It suits anyone who needs a cable connection between network equipment and has a longer gap to cover than a short desk-side lead can manage. The length gives you room to route the cable around a desk or along a wall, rather than leaving equipment right beside each other. It’s a straightforward option for a fixed connection where the route is planned and you want a cable in a neutral grey colour. There’s no extra claim to make about speed or special performance here; the practical appeal is the stated length and connector type. If you’re choosing by those details, this cable keeps the decision simple.

Before setting up, trace the path the cable will take from one device to the other, including any turns around furniture. A route that looks short when measured directly across a room can need more cable once it follows the edges of a desk or wall. Think about where the cable will enter and leave the setup, too, so it doesn’t have to cross a walkway or pull at the connectors. For a neat installation, decide where the slack can sit before you connect the ends. This is ordinary planning, but it makes a difference: a cable routed with care is easier to live with than one stretched across the most convenient straight line. Keep the run accessible if you expect to move either device later.
