Epson Lens - ELPLX02WS - UST Lens
Epson Lens ELPLX02WS UST Lens | Short-distance projection for compact rooms
The defining choice in the Epson ELPLX02WS is its ultra-short-throw optical design: it’s intended for setups where the projector needs to sit close to the screen, rather than across the room. That makes it relevant to meeting rooms, classrooms and other presentation spaces where the available floor area or projector position is limited. This is a specialist lens, not a projector; its job is to help solve a placement challenge within a suitable projection setup. The model name gives you a specific part to discuss when planning an installation, while the UST designation identifies the short-distance projection approach. For a room being arranged around a screen and a close-set projector, this lens offers a focused way to work with that layout. Its appeal is practical: it helps make projector placement part of the room plan, rather than an afterthought.
Specialist Note
People presenting slides, diagrams or lessons in rooms where the projector has to sit near the screen are the ones I’d point towards the ELPLX02WS. The UST designation is the key: it tells you this lens is intended for very short-distance projection, so plan the screen and projector positions together rather than treating placement as a last-minute detail. It’s an Epson lens, and I’d use the exact model name when discussing how it fits into a projection installation. Its strength is quite specific; this isn’t a general solution for every room layout. If your setup needs a projector at the back of the room, this short-throw approach may not suit the brief.
