Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Grid LHC-36 360x360cm

Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Grid LHC-36 360x360cm | More controlled light spread

The honeycomb layout is the defining choice here: its cells limit how widely light spreads, giving you more control over where it falls. That’s the point of a grid. Rather than letting light spill freely, it helps keep illumination directed towards your subject. The Falcon Eyes LHC-36 is a honeycomb grid measuring 360 x 360 cm, so it’s intended for photographers and lighting crews working with a large-format setup. It may suit portrait, product or set work where controlling spill matters more than lighting a broad area evenly. The honest consideration is scale: a grid this large calls for a setup with enough room to use it. If your priority is shaping a wide area of light, its dimensions are the key detail to weigh up.

When a honeycomb grid is useful

A grid is useful when you want to keep light off nearby areas of a scene, rather than simply making the whole space brighter. That can help when you’re building a deliberate lighting pattern or trying to keep the background darker than your subject. It gives you a more directed starting point, though the result still depends on how the light is positioned and what else is in the scene. The LHC-36’s 360 x 360 cm format makes it a large grid, so think about the space you have available and the scale of the lighting job. It’s a practical tool for a considered setup, not a shortcut to a particular look. The product name identifies the grid and its size; it doesn’t tell you how it will behave with a specific light or modifier, so don’t assume a fit from the model name alone.
