Formatt Hitech FC 67mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol.
Formatt Hitech FC 67mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol. | Reduce reflections with a stackable polarizer
Reflections from water, glass and shiny surfaces can distract from the subject, while a bright sky may look washed out. This circular polarizing filter gives you a way to manage those effects as you compose: turn it to adjust the polarization and see how the scene changes. It suits photographers who want more control over reflections and sky contrast in outdoor scenes, or who regularly photograph through windows. A polarizer’s effect depends on the light and your shooting angle, so it won’t remove every reflection or give the same result in every frame. The Superslim design keeps the filter profile slim, and its stackable format lets you combine filters when your setup calls for it. It’s a practical option when you want polarization in a format designed to work as part of a filter stack.
Specialist Note
A polarizer’s effect changes with your angle to the light, so it isn’t a set-and-forget filter; that’s also what makes this one handy when reflections are the problem. The 67mm size is the detail to match to your lens’s filter thread. For water or a shop window, turn the filter while watching the reflection and stop when the subject becomes clearer. For a darker-looking blue sky, adjust it while framing the sky rather than expecting the same effect in every direction. I’d consider this for someone who wants to build a stackable filter setup: its Superslim format is intended to keep the filter profile low, though the result still depends on the scene.
