Formatt Hitech FC 95mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol. | Control glare and deepen skies

Reduce distracting reflections on water and glass, or bring more depth to a blue sky, with a polarising filter. The Formatt Hitech FC 95mm Superslim Stackable Cir.pol. is a 95mm circular polarizer for photographers who want more control over reflected light in the frame. Turn the filter to adjust the polarising effect while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen; the change is easiest to judge on reflective surfaces and skies. It can help keep detail visible beneath surface glare and make a sky appear richer, depending on the light and your shooting angle. Its superslim profile and stackable design suit photographers who want a low-profile filter that can be combined with other filters. The 95mm size is the key detail when choosing it for a lens setup. This filter is most useful when reflections are part of the scene but aren't the main subject you want to show.

Specialist Note

Glare can hide the detail you’re trying to photograph, and this filter gives you a way to moderate it rather than accepting the reflection as it is. The 95mm size is for setups that take a 95mm filter, so it’s worth matching that measurement to your lens. Its superslim profile is a practical detail if you’re building a stack of filters and want to keep the assembly low-profile. For a landscape, rotate the circular polarizer while watching the sky; for water or a shop window, adjust it until the reflected scene gives way to more of what’s behind it. The effect depends on your angle to the light, so it won’t erase every reflection.
