Formatt Hitech Firecrest KEN Kaminseky 100mm Kit +holder
Formatt Hitech Firecrest KEN Kaminseky 100mm Kit +holder | A 100mm filter setup, with holder included
The 100mm format is the defining choice here: it gives this Firecrest kit a clear filter format to build a setup around. Formatt Hitech identifies it as the KEN Kaminseky version and includes a holder, so you’re choosing a kit that brings the holder into the purchase rather than treating it as a separate part of the setup. That makes the product relevant to photographers who want a holder-based filter arrangement for landscape or architectural work, where filters are used as part of the framing process. It’s also a sensible starting point if you already work with 100mm filters and want a kit in the Firecrest range. The title doesn’t identify the filters by type, so I wouldn’t choose it on the assumption that it provides a particular effect. Instead, consider it for its named 100mm format, Firecrest identity and included holder.
Specialist Note
The holder being part of this kit makes it quicker to get a 100mm filter setup together: you’re not starting by sourcing that piece separately. I’d consider it for landscape framing or architectural compositions, where you can arrange your filter setup before making the final composition. The 100mm format is the practical point to keep in mind; it gives your setup a defined size to work around, rather than leaving the filter format open-ended. This suits someone who has decided to build around 100mm filters, especially if the Ken Kaminesky version is the one they want. One caveat: the title doesn’t identify the filter types, so choose it for the format and holder rather than a specific filter effect.
