Godox Magic XT1 2.4GHz Wireless Microphone System

Godox Magic XT1 2.4GHz Wireless Microphone System | A wireless option for spoken recordings

Clearer spoken audio begins with giving speech its own microphone system. The Godox Magic XT1 is a wireless microphone system operating at 2.4GHz, intended for people who want to include microphone audio in a recording without a wired microphone connection. It may suit studio and set work involving spoken segments, such as a presenter addressing the camera or a conversation recorded on set. The 2.4GHz detail identifies its wireless frequency; it doesn’t, on its own, tell you the system’s range or how it will perform in a particular space. Think of the XT1 as one part of your audio setup, rather than a complete recording solution: your recording equipment still needs to work with the system. If your priority is adding wireless microphone audio to a planned production, its name gives you the key starting points: wireless operation and a 2.4GHz connection.

Planning your setup

For a presenter segment, plan where the speaker will stand and where the recording equipment will be placed before you start. For a two-person conversation, decide how each voice will be captured and check that your recording workflow accommodates the microphone system. These small decisions help keep the audio plan clear, whatever the scene. The XT1’s role is specific: it’s a wireless microphone system, not a description of the rest of your recording setup.
