Godox X3PRO S 2.4G Touch Screen TTL Trigger Transmitter For Sony | Control off-camera flash from your camera

Without a transmitter on the camera, firing an off-camera flash means relying on the controls on the flash itself. The Godox X3PRO S gives Sony photographers a dedicated transmitter for triggering flash away from the camera, making it a practical tool for portraits and product photography. It suits anyone who wants to position a flash for a different angle or to keep it off the subject’s direct line of sight, while controlling the setup from the camera position. Its TTL support is useful when you want the flash exposure metered through the camera rather than setting everything by hand. The touch screen gives you a direct way to work with the transmitter’s controls. This is a control unit, not a light source, so you’ll still need an off-camera flash for it to trigger.

Specialist Note

For a 2.4G portrait setup, I’d put the flash off to one side and use the X3PRO S at the camera to trigger it. The touch screen makes sense when you want to work through settings on the transmitter rather than reach over to the flash between frames. TTL is a helpful option for portraits where the subject may shift position, since the camera meters the flash exposure through the lens. It also suits product work when you’re adjusting the light’s angle to shape reflections. Just remember that the X3PRO S is the trigger, not the flash itself; choose your lighting separately for the result you want.
