GREEN.L HMCW ND2-2000 77mm Fader | Adjust light without changing filters

Bright conditions can make it hard to keep the aperture or shutter setting you want, especially when you’re filming or aiming for motion blur in a still photo. The GREEN.L HMCW ND2-2000 77mm Fader is a variable neutral density filter: turn its fader to reduce the light reaching the camera, then adjust exposure without swapping between fixed-strength filters. That makes it useful for video makers who want to keep a chosen shutter speed, and for photographers working towards longer exposures in daylight. It can also help when you want to use a wider aperture in bright light. The amount of light reduction changes as you adjust the filter, so you can respond to changing conditions while keeping your camera settings where you want them. It’s a focused tool for controlling exposure, rather than a filter that adds colour or effects.

Specialist Note

“Is this fader adjustable across a wide range?” Yes—the ND2-2000 designation gives you a broad span of light reduction to work with. I’d consider it for video when you want to hold a particular shutter speed in bright conditions, or for daylight water shots where you’re aiming for a slower shutter and movement blur. Turn the fader to find the exposure you need, then check the result on your camera. The 77mm size matters when choosing it: it’s for a lens with a matching 77mm filter fit, so check that measurement before you buy. It’s a practical pick when exposure control is the goal.
