H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit 77mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit 77mm | Flexible light control
The defining choice here is the 77mm filter size: this kit is made for lenses that take a 77mm filter, rather than being a one-size-fits-all accessory. It brings ND3-1000 and CPL filtering together for photographers who want to manage both the amount of light reaching the camera and reflections in a scene. The ND element is useful when bright conditions leave little room to choose a slower shutter speed; the CPL can help control reflections from surfaces such as water or glass. That makes the kit relevant to landscape work, outdoor scenes and reflective subjects, where exposure and glare can both affect the picture. It’s a specialist accessory for someone who knows their lens takes this diameter and wants these two kinds of filtration available in one kit. The product name gives the ND designation, but no exposure-stop conversion is stated here, so choose settings from the result you see rather than assuming a particular shutter-speed change.
Specialist Note
Bright afternoon light falls across a stream, and the surface keeps catching the sky. This is the kind of scene where the ND3-1000 and CPL pairing has a clear purpose: use the ND filtration when you want to lengthen the shutter speed, then use the CPL role to manage surface reflections. The 77mm size matters at the counter, too: match it to a lens that takes 77mm filters, and it’s a straightforward fit by diameter. I’d suggest this kit to a landscape photographer who often works with water or glass and wants both kinds of control available. One practical limit: a polarizer’s effect depends on the view and the light, so it won’t remove every reflection.
