H&Y Magnetic Lens Cap 95mm For Magnetic Filters

H&Y  |  SKU: HY-LC95

H&Y Magnetic Lens Cap 95mm For Magnetic Filters | Quick cover for a 95mm magnetic-filter setup

The 95mm size defines this cap: it’s made for a 95mm magnetic-filter setup, so you can cover the filter without making the cap a general-purpose fit. H&Y’s magnetic design is intended to make putting the cover on and taking it off straightforward when you want to use the filter again. It suits photographers who already use magnetic filters and want a cap that belongs with that setup. Keep it on between shots, or cover the filter before packing your camera away; either way, you can leave the filter in place. This is a focused accessory rather than a universal lens cap, which is useful if your filter system is magnetic and the size matches. If you don’t use magnetic filters, this isn’t the cap for your setup.

Specialist Note

Covering a magnetic filter is a quick, simple job with this cap, and you can leave the filter where it is instead of taking it off just to protect it. The 95mm size makes it specific to that setup, so I’d keep it with your 95mm filter rather than expect it to serve as a spare cap for other sizes. Its magnetic design is the point: it’s for photographers who want to cap a magnetic filter between shots or before packing away. One practical limit is that it’s tied to a magnetic-filter workflow; if your setup doesn’t use magnetic filters, this one won’t be the right match.
