H&Y Ultimate HD Protection Filter w/ Schott B270 Glass 86mm

H&Y Ultimate HD Protection Filter w/ Schott B270 Glass 86mm | A separate surface for lens protection

Keep the front of your lens behind a separate glass surface during everyday use. The H&Y Ultimate HD Protection Filter is an 86mm protection filter for photographers who want a layer between the lens and routine contact while carrying or using their camera. It’s a straightforward option for keeping the exposed front of a lens less vulnerable to dust and accidental touches; the filter sits in front, so it’s the filter surface you handle when cleaning the front of the setup. Schott B270 glass is the material named for this filter, giving you a specific glass choice rather than an unspecified one. It’s best suited to people who want everyday front-of-lens protection without changing how they take pictures. It won’t make a lens impact-proof, so treat it as a protective layer, not a substitute for careful handling.

Match the filter to your lens

Use the 86mm size as your guide: it needs to match the filter-thread size on the lens. Check the marking on the lens or its documentation before choosing a filter. Once fitted, the filter gives you a separate front surface to wipe when dust or fingerprints settle there, rather than reaching straight for the lens’s own front surface.
