Hahnemühle Art Canvas Smooth 152cm X 12m Poly-Cotton 370GSM

Hahnemühle Art Canvas Smooth 152cm X 12m Poly-Cotton 370GSM | Smooth canvas for art prints

Your images have a smooth canvas surface to print on, with a roll format suited to larger artwork and planned print runs. Hahnemühle Art Canvas Smooth is a poly-cotton canvas for people making photographic or art prints who want canvas as the finished medium. The roll measures 152 cm wide and 12 m long, so it gives you room to plan prints in different sizes without working from individual sheets. Its 370 gsm weight is a useful figure to consider when choosing canvas for a print job. The title also tells you plainly what kind of surface to expect: smooth, rather than a surface described as textured. If you’re choosing canvas for a specific project, think about the finished print dimensions and how you’ll handle a roll-length material in your workspace. That’s the practical appeal here: a substantial canvas roll, with its dimensions and material clearly identified.

Planning your print run

A roll can suit a workflow where you decide the print size as you go, rather than selecting from a set of fixed sheet sizes. Before starting, sketch out the dimensions of your intended images and consider how much material each print will use. That simple step can help you organise a run and make sensible use of the available canvas. The smooth surface is a straightforward starting point for artwork where you want the canvas itself to have a less visibly textured finish. Poly-cotton identifies the material, while the weight gives you another concrete detail to weigh against the needs of your project. These are the main points to compare when deciding if this canvas suits the prints you have in mind. It’s a focused product description, not a promise about how a particular printer will render your files; the finished result depends on the print setup and image.
