Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fibre 200GSM 61cmx30m

Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fibre 200GSM 61cmx30m | A wide roll for matte photo prints

When you’re planning a set of prints and want a matte paper rather than a glossy finish, it helps to start with a clearly defined paper type. Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fibre is a 200 GSM photo paper with a matt finish, aimed at photographers and printmakers who want that surface for their images. It’s best suited to print work where a matte look is part of the brief, whether you’re making pieces for a portfolio or preparing prints for a project. The product name gives you two useful details at a glance: the paper weight is 200 GSM, and it’s identified as Photo Matt Fibre. That makes it easier to compare with other paper options by finish and weight, without relying on vague descriptions. One honest point: a paper’s name and weight alone can’t tell you exactly how your image will look, so choose it for the matte finish you want.

This version is supplied in a 61 cm by 30 m roll. That format is worth considering before you buy: it gives you a continuous length of paper, rather than a pack of individual sheets, and the 61 cm width sets the available paper width for your prints. If you already plan your work around roll paper, those measurements make it straightforward to judge whether the format fits your project. If you usually buy sheets, think through how you’ll handle and store a roll before settling on it.

For a considered paper choice, start with the surface you want, then look at the format and weight. Here, the name makes those choices clear: matt photo paper, 200 GSM, in a wide roll. That’s a specific option for people who have decided against a glossy surface and want paper supplied in a long format. It’s the kind of detail that can help narrow a paper search; it doesn’t replace seeing a print for yourself when the final appearance matters.
