Hama Audio Cable 3.5-mm-Jack-Plug - 2 Cinch-Plug Stereo 1.5m

Hama Audio Cable 3.5-mm-Jack-Plug - 2 Cinch-Plug Stereo 1.5m | Connects a jack socket to stereo cinch

Without a cable that matches both ends of your setup, connecting stereo audio can mean hunting for separate leads or adapters. This Hama audio cable brings a 3.5 mm jack plug at one end and two cinch plugs at the other, for a direct connection between those socket types. Its 1.5-metre length gives you some room to place the connected equipment apart, without needing a particularly long run. It’s suited to anyone whose audio source and destination use these specific connections and who wants to carry stereo audio between them. The practical strength here is simplicity: one cable joins the jack connection to the pair of cinch connections. It’s black, so it stays visually discreet among other leads. Just make sure the equipment at each end has the matching socket; the connectors are the deciding detail.

A straightforward connection

Use the cable where one side of your audio setup has a 3.5 mm jack socket and the other has two cinch sockets for stereo. The single jack plug meets the jack connection, while the two cinch plugs serve the paired connections. That makes the cable a simple way to link equipment with these different connector formats, without turning the job into a collection of individual leads. The stereo connection is useful when you want the left and right channels carried over the two cinch plugs.

Its 1.5-metre reach is worth considering when deciding where the connected equipment will sit. Measure the route between the two sockets, allowing a little slack rather than pulling the cable tight. If the sockets are further apart than the cable can comfortably reach, this is the wrong length for that placement. There’s no extra function to learn here: match the connectors, allow for the cable’s reach, and it does the connecting job it’s made for.
