Hama Mini-USB-Cable 'flexi-Slim' Mini B8-PLUG USB 2.0 480 MBIT/s 0.75 M

Hama Mini-USB-Cable 'flexi-Slim' Mini B8-PLUG USB 2.0 480 MBIT/s 0.75 M | A compact lead for Mini-B8 connections

When a piece of equipment calls for a Mini B8 connection, this Hama cable is the sort of small accessory that can save a trip back to the drawer. It’s a 0.75-metre USB cable with a Mini B8 plug, named for USB 2.0 and a data rate of 480 Mbit/s. That makes its purpose clear: a short cable for a matching Mini B8 connection, rather than a general-purpose lead to buy on guesswork. The flexi-Slim name identifies the cable range; the useful details for choosing it are the connector format and the stated USB standard. It comes in black. In our view, its strongest point is the straightforward combination of a clearly named plug and a modest length for setups where a longer cable would simply get in the way.

Connector names matter more than a cable’s appearance. Mini B8 is a specific plug format, so the key question is whether that is the connection your equipment needs. The 0.75-metre length is also worth thinking about in practical terms: it suits a short run between nearby points, while it won’t provide the reach of a longer lead. USB 2.0 and 480 Mbit/s give you the standard and data-rate figures to compare when selecting a cable for a particular task. Those numbers describe the cable’s stated specification; they aren’t a promise of a particular transfer time with every connected device. If you’re replacing a cable, match the plug format first, then consider whether this length works for where you’ll use it. Simple, specific, and easy to identify by its Mini B8 plug.
