Hama Netwerkcable CAT-6A 10 GBIT/s S/FTP Afgeschermd 0.25 M

Hama Network Cable CAT-6A 10 Gbit/s S/FTP Shielded 0.25 m | A short, shielded link for nearby network ports

Without a short cable, a nearby network connection can end up with a longer lead coiled beside it. This Hama network cable is for setups where the ports sit close together and you want a compact wired link. It’s a CAT-6A cable marked for 10 Gbit/s, with S/FTP shielding, and measures 0.25 m. That makes its role quite specific: it’s best where there’s little distance between the connection points, rather than where a cable needs to cross a room or run around furniture. If you’re tidying a small network installation, that short reach can help avoid an unnecessary loop of cable. The honest trade-off is that there’s very little spare length, so the route between ports needs to be direct.

Choosing the right length

Before settling on a short cable, consider the route it will actually take, not just the distance between the two ports. A cable may need to bend around the edge of a desk or pass behind equipment, and those small detours use up slack. If the connection points are side by side, a compact lead keeps the setup neater; if they’re separated, a longer cable will make more sense. This is a simple detail, but it’s the one that matters most when choosing a network cable this short. The product name gives you the key terms to compare with the requirements of your own setup, without having to guess at a longer run.
