Hama Network Cable CAT-5E F/UTP Afgeschermd 5.00 M

Hama Network Cable CAT-5E F/UTP Shielded 5.00 m | A five-metre shielded network cable

The defining choice here is the 5.00 m length: it gives you a set cable run to plan around, rather than an unspecified amount to cut or coil. Hama’s CAT-5E F/UTP cable is for someone who needs a shielded network cable in that length and wants the cable type clear before buying. It’s a straightforward option when you’re replacing a cable or planning a connection between network equipment, and the five-metre run is the main thing to match to your setup. The F/UTP designation is also useful when you’re comparing cable labels and specifically need that shielded type. There’s no need to read more into the product name than it says: this is a grey, five-metre CAT-5E network cable. The practical question is whether that length suits the route you have in mind.

Planning the cable run

Measure the path the cable will actually follow, not just the distance between the two points you want to connect. A route may need to go around furniture or along a wall, so allow for that when deciding whether five metres is suitable. It’s a small detail, but estimating from a straight-line gap can leave you short once the cable is routed where you want it. If your planned path is comfortably within the available length, this Hama cable gives you a simple, clearly labelled option to consider. If you’re comparing alternatives, use the cable type, shielding designation and length together rather than choosing by length alone. That keeps the decision tied to the details that define this particular cable, without assuming anything about your network equipment or the layout of your room.
