Hama Network Cable CAT-6 F/UTP Afgeschermd 10.00 M 10 PCs

Hama Network Cable CAT-6 F/UTP Shielded 10.00 m 10 PCs | A shielded cable for network connections

When your network equipment needs a wired connection across a room, a 10-metre cable can give you more freedom in where you place it. Hama’s CAT-6 F/UTP network cable is intended for network connections, and the product title identifies it as shielded. Its stated length is 10.00 m, making it suited to a longer cable run than a short lead between devices on the same desk. The cable is grey, which is a fairly discreet colour if the run will be visible against a wall or behind furniture. For a home or work setup where a direct network connection is needed and the route takes some distance, this is a straightforward option to consider. Measure the path the cable will follow, rather than only the gap between the two connection points; bends and routing around furniture can add distance.

Planning the route

Before you connect it, trace the route from one end of the run to the other. Include the path around furniture, along edges or through an opening, and leave room to reach the connection points without pulling the cable tight. A cable that reaches on paper may come up short once it follows the actual route. If it will cross a doorway or a walking area, plan where it can sit safely rather than leaving it loose underfoot. These small checks make a longer wired connection easier to place neatly.
