Hama Network Cable CAT-6 F/UTP Afgeschermd 5.00 M

Hama CAT-6 F/UTP Shielded Network Cable 5.00 m | A five-metre link for network setups

The defining detail of this Hama cable is its combination of a CAT-6 rating and F/UTP shielding, in a set five-metre length. It suits anyone adding or replacing a network cable who needs a measured run rather than a short patch lead or a much longer coil. Use it to link network equipment where a cable connection is needed; the title identifies its category and shielding, without making a promise about speed or performance. Its grey colour is a practical, understated fit when you’d rather have a cable that blends into a room than draws attention. For home or work setups, the main decision is whether five metres gives you enough reach along the route you have in mind. That’s the honest limit of what to judge from the product details: plan the cable path before choosing the length.

When working out that path, measure from the connection point to the place the cable will actually run, rather than estimating in a straight line. A route may follow a desk edge or pass around furniture, so allow for the turns you expect to make. If the connection points are close together, five metres may leave spare cable; if they’re farther apart, it may not reach. That’s why a quick tape-measure check is more useful than guessing from the room layout. The F/UTP marking tells you this is the shielded version, while CAT-6 identifies the cable category. Those labels help distinguish this cable when you’re choosing between network leads, but they don’t replace checking the length and route needed for your particular setup. It’s a straightforward option when those details line up.
