Hama Portretlijst ´scala´ White 23x23cm

Hama Portretlijst ‘scala’ White 23x23cm | A simple square photo display

Without a frame, a printed photo can feel unfinished on a shelf or wall. The Hama Scala portrait frame gives a photo a defined place, with a white finish and a square 23 x 23 cm format. It suits anyone who wants to display a single portrait or another favourite image in a straightforward way, without making the frame itself the focus. The square shape is the detail to plan around: it gives a photo a different feel from a typical upright portrait format, so images with a central subject can work especially well. Think of a face, a small group, or a close-up that still reads clearly when presented in a square. Its white colour keeps the look light and lets you pair it with a range of photo styles. A practical, uncomplicated option when you’ve chosen the image and want to give it a place of its own.

Choosing a photo for a square frame

When you pick an image, look at its composition as well as the subject. A photo that’s already square is a natural starting point; with a rectangular image, consider how it might look when presented in a square format. Keep the important part of the picture comfortably within the area you want to show, especially if it includes faces or details near the edges. It’s a small decision, but it can change the feel of the finished display. The white frame gives the image a clear boundary, so a busy scene and a minimal portrait will each make a different impression. Choose the photo you’d enjoy seeing every day, then give it a considered spot in your room.
