Hama Sat-Aansluitkabel F-Plug - F-Plug Gold Plated 1.5 M 120 DB

Hama Sat-Aansluitkabel F-Plug - F-Plug Gold Plated 1.5 M 120 DB | A direct link for satellite connections

A satellite setup can be frustrating when the cable you need is missing, too short, or has the wrong connector at one end. This Hama cable has an F plug on both ends, so it’s made for a satellite connection where matching F sockets are available at each end. At 1.5 metres, it suits a short run between nearby connection points; it’s not a cable to buy for a long route around a room. The connectors are gold plated, and the cable is white. Its name also includes a 120 dB rating, useful to have on hand when comparing cable labels. For a straightforward connection over a modest distance, this gives you the two matching ends in one cable. Measure the route and allow for the path the cable needs to follow, rather than judging the distance only as the crow flies.

Before you connect it

F plugs need matching F sockets, so look at the connection points on the satellite equipment you intend to link. This cable is most relevant when those points are close together and you want the same connector style at both ends. A little care with the route helps, too: leave enough slack for the cable to reach without pulling on the plugs, and avoid choosing a length that has to stretch across the space. The white finish may be easier to notice against a dark surface, so consider where it will run if you prefer a less visible cable. Keep the intended path in mind when deciding whether this short cable suits your setup.
