Hama Tripod Traveller Premium 163 Ball | Steady support for low-light shooting

Handholding a camera through a long exposure can leave fine detail blurred; the Hama Tripod Traveller Premium 163 Ball gives your camera a steady support instead. It’s a tripod for photographers who want to work with landscapes, night scenes and other situations where keeping the camera still matters. That makes it particularly useful for long exposures and astro photography, when even a small movement can soften the result. It also suits steady video: set your composition, then keep the camera fixed while you record. If you enjoy taking your time to frame a scene rather than relying on a quick handheld shot, this is the kind of support that helps make that approach practical. Its black colour keeps the look understated. The most natural uses are a carefully framed landscape, a night-sky image or a stationary video shot; it’s less about adding features to your camera and more about giving it a stable base.

Specialist Note

For a 10-second night-sky exposure, I’d set the camera on this tripod, compose carefully and use the camera’s timer so pressing the shutter doesn’t nudge the shot. Its tripod format gives the camera fixed support, which is the point when you’re trying to keep stars and the landscape below them sharp. I’d also use it for a steady video of a changing view: settle on the framing before recording and leave the camera still. The Traveller Premium 163 Ball makes sense for someone who enjoys landscapes, long exposures or astro work. One honest point: it’s a support, not a way to make a moving subject stay still.
